the Depositions of others, and all other types of professional engineering
consultation: $300/hr |
| Deposition
and Trial Testimony: $400/hr or fraction
thereof. Minimum deposition testimony fee is three hours (State
of Illinois mandated maximum for length of Depositions); minimum trial
testimony is one eight-hour day. Preparation not included. |
| Travel:
$200/hr, plus expenses, as
follows: |
automobile expenses: $1/mile or fraction
thereof
motorcycle expenses: $0.50/mile or faction
thereof
other travel expenses billed at actual cost
without mark-up
| Dangerous
Driving: includes high speed or limit-performance
maneuvers, accident re-enactments, near-collision maneuvers, intentional
rollovers, motorcycle laydowns, driving racing cars or motorcycles, etc.:
$750/hr or fraction thereof |
| Laboratory Work: time
billed as above for Consultation. Material costs for experimental work
(e.g., purchase of exemplar vehicles, model construction, hardware and
software, construction or instrumentation) billed at actual cost without
mark-up. |
| Emergency Work:
work done on the basis of an emergency or overnight/rush basis, or which
requires a near-instantaneous or "drop everything" immediate
response is billed at the above rates multipled by a 250%
surcharge |
| Overhead: including
xerography, FAX, phone, shop materials and consumables, photography,
postage, and other similar items: 9.75% of gross
billing |
| Billing Terms: statements
are payable upon receipt. After 30 days, a 1.9%/month
interest charge
is assessed against outstanding
balances. Statements which are more than three months in arrears are
grounds for termination of all work and retirement from the engagement. |
